Yuletide Letter 2021

Thank you wonderful person for signing up to Yuletide this year and writing for me. I'm InArduisFidelis on AO3. Feel free to lurk there a bit to see the kinds of things I like reading.
Below is a list of my general likes and DNWs, as well as some more specific prompts etc for fandoms. Please feel free to use a combination of my prompts and likes together. Or just use the prompts or only use the general likes, whatever works for you.
General likes:
The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf (2021)
Characters requested: Vesemir (Nightmare of the Wolf)
Fandom specific DNWs: I am not overly interested in Tetra as a character so nothing that includes her more than briefly please, and definitely not that ships her with Vesemir.
Given the canon material, I'm fine with canonical character death, though I would prefer it to lean towards the bittersweet/hopeful ending as opposed to just unhappy.
This film was one of my favourites of this year and definitely helped fill the void between the two seasons of the main story. I loved Vesemir in this (he was certainly different to his other iterations but definitely in a good way). The art style was beautiful, the cameos were great and I loved the world building that it explored. Illyana was also a favourite of mine and I love how she was woven into the story
Prompts: Vesemir/Illyana is absolutely adorable (both as young kids and when they are a lot older) so I would love anything focused on this. Maybe she survives and she spends the last years of her life with Vesemir in a cottage by the lake raising the ducklings that are Geralt and the other young witchers (because Vesemir could very much use the help with them). Or maybe Vesemir and Illyana are able to stay in contact over the years, or they bump into each other again some time earlier than in canon (while Vesemir is on a hunt?).
Alternatively, something that explores the dynamic (platonic or otherwise - I would definitely appreciate Vesemir/Filavandrel) between Vesemir and Filavandrel would also be great. Potentially something that explores their friendship through time (with some rather awkward/tense early meetings), them teaming up for a hunt etc
Finally, just anything post film. Vesemir coping with the fall of Kaer Morhen and the loss of Illyana, him figuring out how to train this new breed of witchers so as to avoid the mistakes of the previous generation, or similar.

Free Guy (2021)
Characters requested: Guy (Free Guy)
Fandom specific DNWs: While I don't mind them being mentioned, please nothing that focuses on Millie or Keys (or Millie/Guy)
This film was a lot of fun, but introduced so many parts that I would love to see explored. The very concept of it just has so much potential and there are a lot of bits that the film on briefly touched on.
Prompts:
World building! How does a society like this function (especially something with crack taken seriously). The perspective of an NPC (Guy or one of the others) on the chaos and weird activities of the players and how this is rationalised would be very interesting.
Just ... anything to do with Dude would also be great. Maybe how he is finding things post film, or how a friendship between him and Guy would work.
Really, for this one please feel free to run wild.

I adore the Mechanisms and this is by far my favourite album (it has some truly brilliant world building). I latched onto Lyf from their first song. They are just ... so done with everything.
Prompts:
Just ... anything Lyf-centric. Character study (them processing everything post album etc). Or maybe Lyf gets caught up with the Mechs (with all the chaos that involves.
I love all of the Rusty Quill shows so feel free to go down that avenue if you are inspired. Mechs/Magnus Archive fics are always amazing (Lyf as the Archivist or a statement fic from them). Or a crossover with Stellar Firma or Rusty Quill Gaming would be very interesting (maybe Lyf gets caught up in all of the planar stuff going in RQG, or ends up with the Stellar Firma gang post album).
Klaus (2019)
Characters requested: Klaus (Klaus 2019), Jesper Johanssen
Fandom specific DNWs: -
This is my go to Christmas film. The art style is beautiful, the characters endearing and it has a really interesting twist on an old tale.
Prompts: Given this is Yuletide, anything festive would be great. Maybe Christmases over time as they both grow old or one particularly chaotic Christmas where everything seems to go wrong. Alternatively, diving more into the relationship between the two of them (either Jesper & Klaus or Jesper/Klaus is appreciated).

I have been following this series for well over a decade now and still adore it. The characters are all very well fleshed out, the dynamics between them are interesting and the world building continues to be great. I particularly love all of the earlier books (as I grew up on those) and the growing found family dynamic between Will and Halt.
Prompts:
Anything that explores the growing (familial) relationship between these two. Maybe they meet earlier than in canon (Halt takes charge of Will at an early age? Young Will gets involved in a mission somehow?). Or quiet moments on the road between the conflict. Or a hurt/comfort fic where one is looking after the other, who is ill/injured. Or Halt having to take on a more parental role as he teaches/helps Will through something that is not really within the typical mentor role.
