Thanks so much for writing for me! I'm very excited to see what you come up with.

I'll include general thoughts/prompts for the fandoms below, but if you have a different idea, please feel free to go with it!

I'm happy for either gen or shippy fic. In general, what I am particularly interested is the themes/atmosphere of the songs/music videos, especially where they are taken in a rather literal way.

Swan Song - The Mechanisms (Song)
I adore this song, especially the relationship between The Odette (a battleship, once human) and Siegfried (her captain). There is so much potential to explore their history together. First meeting! Discovering deception! Trying to figure out their changed relationship!

No other Mechs knowledge needed for this one (it's basically standalone), though feel free to lean into any Mechs lore if you feel like it.

Achilles Come Down - Gang of Youths (Song)

One of my favourites. Has the potential for some fun with Greek mythology (I do rather enjoy The Song of Achilles and all of its angst) or something completely different if you would prefer. What irreversible decision is the person on the edge of making? What drove them there? Who is trying to stop them?

Feel free to make this one rather dark if you want (the song certainly is) but I would prefer an ending that isn't completely hopeless.


Hallucination - Regard & Years & Years (Music Video)

The best way I can describe this one is Squid Game but dance? Stunning music video with fun costuming and choreography. All of the Years & Years music videos have such great potential for worldbuilding, and this one is no different! Are they there voluntarily or not? What do they dance for? Who are those watching?

Feel free to draw on other music videos from Years & Years (the ones for the Palo Santo album, in particular, set up a really interesting dystopian world which this one could mesh with).


Midnight City - M83 (Song)

Kids with superpowers! Does everyone have superpowers (and their powers are just stronger) or are they special? Where are they locked up in? What kind of place do they build for themselves once they are free?


Brother Run Fast - Kaleo (Song)

I would love some sort of dystopian/post-apocalypse spin on this. Who is the group in question and who are after them? What have they done/what are they trying to protect?


Bones in the Ocean - The Longest Johns (Song)

This one is such an ear-worm and tells the tale of a sailor suffering extreme survivor's guilt from being the only one to survive a shipwreck. What actually did happen during that shipwreck? How did the sailor survive? How does the sailor learn to make peace with all they have been through? Lots of potential for delicious angst.

There are mentions of ghosts of those who died in the lyrics, which could be interesting if it were literal. How does the person react to these? Are the a comfort or a burden? Can everyone see these ghosts trailing after the sailor or just them?


Hoist Up the Thing - The Longest Johns (Song)

Only just came across this song but it's a lot of fun (and it's 100% Stede's theme song from early Season 1 of Our Flag Means Death). Incompetent pirates! Or adventurers! (both are great) So much potential for comedy gold. I would love anything with chaotic fun and the crew failing in hilarious ways.

Is it everyone who is incompetent? Everyone but one person who is just exasperated by the lot of them? Only the captain? Whatever works for your fic!

I do love OFMD, so feel free to lean on that for inspiration (but that's very much not expected).

This is my first proper Yuletide so I am definitely looking forward to seeing what you come up with. The Amelia Project (Podcast)

Fandom specific DNWs: Permanent major character death. I'm not particularly interested in anything explicitly shipping Alvina and the interviewer but am happy with them vibing.

I'm only very new to this podcast but am already in love. I adore the premise and the style of humour, as well as the interesting cast. Given episodes are still coming out, please feel free to build off anything interesting that gets released before Yule.

Prompts:
I'm enjoying the current mystery surrounding the staff of The Amelia Project and would love to see your take on their backstories. We already have heard a bit for Joey and Salvatore but I am definitely intrigued by the others, especially The Interviewer and Alvina. I would love to see your headcannons for this.
I also adored the episodes with Percy so would enjoy something that build off those. Feel free to crossover with any fandom that I have bookmarks in on AO3 or just to make up a setting for this.
Also, feel free to create your own episode in the style of the show (that would be rather fun). This includes dragging in characters from other fandoms (anything I have bookmarks in on AO3 would be amazing).

Fandom specific DNWs: I'm not overly interested in explicitly shippy fics but definitely feel free to bring in ambiguous relationships/pre-ship/background ships.

Also, regarding the canon pandemic/quarantine elements of the podcast, I don't have any issue with them.

RQG is probably my favourite fandom at the moment. I completely adore everything that the RQ does. For RQG, the characters, the crew, the world building, the dynamics between the characters, the humour ... all of it is beautiful.
Given the nature of the canon, I am alright with character death, as long as there is a happy (or at least hopeful) ending.

Prompts:
Given all the trauma that Alex keeps putting us through, a fix it fic would be wonderful (eg Grizzop survives in Ancient Rome, Sasha and Grizzop make their saving throws, episode 174 ends happy, any fix it for traumatic events that are sure to be coming up before the end of the year).
Sasha is a particular favourite of mine so maybe something introspective for her (eg her hanging out with gargoyles, a snippet of her time in Ancient Rome). I am still very salty about the fact that there was a Cloak of the Bat just hidden for her so I would also love a fic where she gets that within the present-day timeline.
Given I also adore the dynamics between all the characters, anything that also explores those would be amazing (eg quiet moments between Sasha and Grizzop, Zolf and Wilde during the 18 months etc). Really, I'm sure I'd love anything written for this fandom.

Untitled Goose Game (Video Game)

I continue to love chaotic Goose so anything that has Goose getting into trouble is great.

Prompts:
Crossovers for this fandom are always fun. Feel free to include any of the fandoms that I have bookmarks in on AO3 (though please not other fandoms). Maybe Goose is running rampart in the Magnus Archives and terrorising Elias, getting into a prank off with the Weasley twins at Hogwarts, vibing with Jaskier but confusing poor Geralt ... or any other ideas you can come up with.
Alternatively, for non-crossovers, maybe exploring Goose teaching the next generation of geese how to be chaotic, or goose in the big city, or goose with a weird to-do list. Please feel free to add to this.

Young Samurai Series - Chris Bradford

This fandom is feeling rather lonely at the moment, with only one fic on AO3, so I would love a bit of company. Young Samurai is definitely a nostalgia fandom for me and I always enjoyed the world building and the ongoing plot threads.

Prompts:
Not the most helpful, I know, but I would basically be keen to see anything written for this fandom, so please run wild with it. Given the final book is out now, maybe something post-canon? Or exploring some character dynamics in the downtime between training back in Japan. Maybe a deeper exploration of Jack either adjusting to Japan early on or adjusting back to life in England.
I also rather enjoy darker takes on series where the fic deals with some of the implications of things that canon breezes over, so I would love to see your headcanons for that (eg Jack reacting to the darker sides of the samurai/ninja life).
